Information about the Application for Secondary One Discretionary Places
General Information
- Application Period: 2 January 2026 (Friday) to 16 January 2026 (Friday) (both dates inclusive)
- Office Hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Interview Dates: 14 March 2026 (Saturday), 21 March 2026 (Saturday) (Reserve day)
- All applicants will be arranged for an interview. No written test will be conducted.
- The school will notify applicants of the exact interview date, time, and arrangement by phone on or before 30 January 2026 (Friday). If you have not received notification by that date, please contact the school directly.
- Number of Discretionary Places: 30
Application Procedures
- Submit the application via the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) Electronic Platform; or
- Obtain an application form in person from the school general office or download it from the school website, and submit the completed form in person during the office hours stated above.
- When submitting the application, please provide the following documents:
- The S1 Discretionary Place Application Form issued by the Education Bureau
- The school’s own application form
- One recent passport-sized photo (to be attached to the application form)
- Photocopies of the following:
- Academic reports from Primary 5 to Primary 6
- Student’s birth certificate / Hong Kong Identity Card
- Supporting documents for extracurricular activities or awards
- A stamped return envelope with sufficient postage, clearly marked with the recipient’s name and address
- Primary school recommendation letters are not required.
- Parents may apply to a maximum of two secondary schools under the Discretionary Places scheme. Applications to more than two schools will result in disqualification.
Admission Criteria
Students will be selected fairly based on the following criteria:
- List of Grade 30%
- Conduct 25%
- Interview performance 35%
- Extra-curricular activities awards 10%
Notification of Results
The school will notify successful applicants (placed on the “Successful Candidates List”) by phone and in writing on 31 March 2026 (Tuesday). Parents are advised not to call the school to enquire about results.
